A Rose By Any Other Name

Written and performed by DVS committee member Rosemary Loughlin, the one-woman show ‘A Rose By Any Other Name’ will run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer for two weeks – from Monday August 15 to Sunday August 28 (excluding Sunday 21 August) 2022.
The show is about Rosemary’s journey with Shakespeare from childhood to the recent present. It takes in her experiences learning to perform classical texts and her discovery of the Shakespeare Authorship Question and subsequent visits to places associated with Edward de Vere.
Rosemary initially had no intention of putting pen to paper with respect to her trips to de Vere’s old stomping grounds, but after having some lovely magic moments along the way, decided to write up her experiences as a one-woman show.
‘A Rose By Any Other Name’ is both for Oxfordians and anyone unfamiliar with the authorship question. Even those not very familiar with Shakespeare are likely to enjoy hearing this tale of personal transformation.
The venue will be The Annexe at Paradise Green and performance details will appear on their website over the next few weeks: For more information click HERE
