Every gift doubled — up to £50,000

Every gift to the De Vere Society is being doubled. An anonymous benefactor has pledged to match every donation pound for pound — up to £50,000. Your support funds our research, events, outreach and the scholarship that is steadily dismantling the greatest literary myth ever told. And right now, it goes twice as far. If you are a UK taxpayer, adding Gift Aid costs you nothing but increases your gift by a further 25%. This campaign closes at midday on 24 October 2026.

  • The truth will out.
  • Truth will come to light;
  • The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
  • The work the society undertakes I feel to be of upmost importance in the bid to shine a light on to the authorship question.

  • I am energized feeling myself immersed in and a part of Edward de Vere's - Shake-Speare's world when I read DVS publications, connect with friends made through DVS, and have the occasional opportunity to attend DVS events in England. Alexander Waugh brought heart and soul.
