The Truth Will Out wins at the Los Angeles Film Awards

The documentary The Truth Will Out (2026), which explores the Shakespeare Authorship Question, has been named a winner in the Documentary Feature category at the Los Angeles Film Awards for February 2026.

Produced and directed by Hector Abaunza, and executive produced, presented and researched by Amanda Eliasch, the film takes audiences on a compelling journey through one of Tudor England’s enduring mysteries—examining the case for Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, as the true author of Shakespeare’s works.

Filmed across the U.K. and the U.S.A., and featuring interviews with a range of leading Oxfordian voices, the documentary is now entering the international festival circuit, bringing the authorship question to new and wider audiences. Following its festival run, it is expected to be released on a streaming platform for general viewing.

This latest recognition marks an important milestone for the film as it continues its journey on the international stage.
